Hamelin Bay old jetty ruins with seagulls, turquoise Indian Ocean — Margaret River Region

Hamelin Bay — the old jetty ruins, just south of the studio.

We're not a "digital agency." We're a studio
small, deliberate, and built around the South West.

From Yallingup to Augusta, every brand we work with is shaped by the same coast, the same light, the same kind of customer walking through the door looking for something honest. So we design that way too.

We're the South West's dedicated web design studio — working with hospitality, accommodation, retail and trades businesses from Augusta through Margaret River, Busselton, Bunbury, Mandurah and up to Perth. Locally rooted, with the range to go wherever the work is good.

Our work sits at the intersection of taste and technology. We design sites that look like the place feels. We configure SEO, AI tools, POS systems and booking platforms so your business runs better and earns more. Pretty doesn't pay the bills — but neither does a site that converts and looks like a 2014 template, or a POS that doesn't talk to your website.

What we do, and how it pays off.

Nine core offerings across design, technology and strategy. Pick one, stack a few, or let us build the full system — site, SEO, AI tools, POS, bookings, brand, and the content engine that keeps it earning.

01 /
Website Design & Build
Custom sites on modern frameworks — fast, accessible, and built to convert. Every site we deliver is SEO-structured from day one: clean URLs, schema markup, mobile-first performance, and copy written with search intent in mind. We don't just build pretty pages; we build pages that rank and earn.

SEO, Local Search & GEO
Most South West businesses are invisible to the customers actively searching for them right now. We fix that. Our SEO work covers technical audits, on-page optimisation, local citation building, Google Business Profile management, and keyword strategy built around the actual search behaviour of tourists, locals and trade buyers in WA. If someone searches "cellar door Margaret River," "holiday home Yallingup," "web design Bunbury" or "digital agency Mandurah," your business should appear — and we make that happen systematically, not by chance. We work with businesses across the full coastal corridor from Augusta to Perth.

We also implement Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) — structuring your content so it surfaces in AI-driven search results like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Most agencies aren't doing this yet. Your competitors definitely aren't. Getting ahead now means owning that ground before it gets crowded.

AI Integration & Automation
AI isn't a gimmick — for the right tasks it's a genuine competitive advantage for small businesses. We help hospitality, retail and accommodation operators set up practical AI tools that save real hours: AI-powered chatbots that answer guest FAQs and handle enquiries 24/7, automated review response systems, AI-assisted content generation for menus and product descriptions, smart email sequences triggered by booking behaviour, and AI tools that help you write social content in minutes instead of hours. We scope, build and train these systems to match your voice and your workflow — so you get the leverage without the learning curve.

POS Systems for Hospitality & Retail
The right point-of-sale system is the operational backbone of a hospitality or retail business — and the wrong one costs you in lost sales, wasted staff time, and disconnected data. We advise on, configure and integrate POS platforms suited to cellar doors, cafés, restaurants and boutique retail: Square, Lightspeed, Kounta (now Lightspeed Restaurant), and Shopify POS for retail-first operators. We connect your POS to your website, your inventory, and your booking or reservation system so everything talks to each other. No more manually updating stock. No more split reporting. Just one clean picture of your business.

Booking Systems for Short-Stay & Accommodation
OTA commissions are expensive. A well-configured direct booking system pays for itself inside a season. We set up and integrate property management and booking platforms — Lodgify, Hostaway, Guesty, and direct Stripe-based booking widgets — directly into your website so guests can check availability and book without leaving your page. We also connect your calendar across Airbnb, Stayz and Booking.com to prevent double-bookings, automate guest messaging (arrival instructions, check-out reminders, review requests), and build the rate strategy that maximises occupancy in peak season and fills the shoulder periods too.

Brand Identity
Names, marks, palettes, type systems and the small details that decide whether a brand feels considered or generic. We design for the South West — which means taste that earns trust from discerning visitors and locals alike, not templates that look like everyone else on the strip.

Social Media Strategy
Monthly content systems for hospitality and retail — content pillars, posting calendars, copy, and the photography brief that makes it look like you, not a stock library. We build strategies that compound: the kind where six months of consistent, on-brand content produces a measurable lift in foot traffic and direct enquiries.

— How we work

A four-step process. No surprises.

01

Listen

A free 30-min call. We learn the business, the goals, and the constraints. You leave with a clear sense of what we'd actually do — even if you don't book.

02

Map

A short discovery doc covering audience, positioning, sitemap and scope. Fixed price, fixed timeline. Signed off before a pixel is drawn.

03

Make

Design and build in tight feedback loops. You see real progress weekly — not three months of silence and a "big reveal."

04

Tend

We launch, then stick around. Optional care plans keep things fast, secure, and growing — so the site keeps paying back the investment.

They actually get what we're trying to build down here. The site went live and direct bookings jumped within a month — and it finally looks like the place feels.

— Common questions

What people ask before they get in touch.

Do you do web design in Margaret River?+

Yes — we're based in Margaret River and work primarily with businesses across South West WA: Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Cowaramup, Augusta and the broader region. We also work with WA businesses outside the South West for specific projects.

What types of businesses do you work with?+

We specialise in hospitality (cafés, restaurants, cellar doors), accommodation (holiday homes, short stays, retreats), retail and eCommerce, and trades or B2B businesses. Most of our clients are in the tourism and lifestyle economy of South West WA.

How much does a website cost in Margaret River?+

It depends on scope — a focused hospitality or accommodation site typically starts from $3,500–$6,000. More complex builds (eCommerce, booking integration, POS connection) are scoped individually. Book a free 15-minute review and we'll give you a straight answer based on what you actually need.

Do you offer SEO for South West WA businesses?+

Yes. We provide local SEO, Google Business Profile management, technical audits and keyword strategy tailored to the actual search behaviour of tourists and locals in the Margaret River region. If someone searches "cellar door Margaret River" or "holiday home Yallingup," your business should appear — and we make that happen systematically.

Can you help with direct bookings and POS systems?+

Yes — this is one of our core specialisations. We configure and integrate direct booking platforms (Lodgify, Hostaway, Guesty) for accommodation operators and POS systems (Square, Lightspeed, Shopify POS) for hospitality and retail. We connect these to your website so everything works as one system.

Can I claim a new website as a tax deduction before 30 June?+

Yes — eligible Australian small businesses can immediately deduct the full cost of a new website under the $20,000 instant asset write-off, provided the asset is purchased and ready to use before 30 June 2026. After that date the threshold drops to $1,000, meaning you'd need to depreciate the cost over multiple years instead. If you're considering a new site, now is the most tax-effective time to commit. Check with your accountant to confirm eligibility, then get in touch and we'll work to your timeline.

What is Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)?+

GEO is the practice of structuring your website content so it gets cited and surfaced by AI-driven search tools — Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and similar. As more people search through these interfaces instead of clicking through ten blue links, being the source the AI recommends is becoming as important as ranking on page one. We build GEO into our SEO work from the start: clear entity structure, authoritative copy, FAQ schema, and the kind of content that AI tools treat as a credible answer rather than filler.

Black Kangaroo —

The challenge

Black Kangaroo offers one of the most comprehensive property services in the South West — holiday home management, Airbnb optimisation, end-to-end maintenance, emergency repairs, cleaning coordination, gardening, and 24/7 guest support. The problem was that a property owner landing on the site couldn't easily see all of that at once.

The Margaret River short-stay market is growing fast. Property owners have more choices than ever: large national OTA management platforms, local handymen, cleaning agencies operating independently. Black Kangaroo's genuine advantage — doing everything under one roof, with a local team who answers the phone — wasn't coming through clearly enough.

"We had the service. We just needed the site to communicate it clearly enough that property owners would call us instead of a national platform."

— Black Kangaroo Property Services, Karridale WA

What we built

We built a Squarespace site structured around the two core audiences: property owners deciding whether to list with Black Kangaroo, and guests who need confidence in the management of the home they're booking. The copy was rewritten from scratch — no jargon, no vague promises.

The service pages clearly separate holiday home management from property maintenance, each covering what's included, who it's for, and what to expect. A streamlined "List with us" page removes every barrier between a property owner's first question and an actual conversation.

We set up their Google Business Profile correctly and structured the site for local SEO across all seven service areas — Margaret River, Hamelin Bay, Prevelly, Gnarabup, Cowaramup, Karridale, Augusta — so the right searches find them first.

The result

The site now clearly positions Black Kangaroo as a premium full-service alternative to managing a holiday property yourself or using a large, impersonal platform. Their 24/7 guest response capability — previously buried — is now a headline USP. Coverage across seven named South West suburbs is specific and visible, which builds exactly the local trust a property owner needs before picking up the phone.

Pelican Aerial —

The challenge

Pelican Aerial is a licensed drone operator working across South West WA — providing aerial photography, high-resolution mapping, construction site progress tracking, crop health monitoring, and damage assessment for emergency services and insurers. With 150+ completed projects and 25+ clients, the track record was there. The challenge: a construction project manager, a vineyard owner, and an insurance assessor all need to see completely different things when they land on the same homepage.

A generic drone services page can't do that. The site needed to be restructured around specific use cases — with real imagery from real projects, not stock photos of drones over anonymous landscapes.

"Our drone work covers construction, vineyards, emergency response, and more. The old site made it look like we just did real estate photography."

— Pelican Aerial, South West WA

What we built

We restructured the site into four service sections — Aerial Photography & Mapping, Construction Progress Tracking, Crop Monitoring & Agriculture, and Damage Assessment & Emergency Response — each written for its specific audience. A vineyard owner cares about irrigation and pest detection. A project manager cares about progress tracking and issue detection. An insurer cares about rapid turnaround and 3D model accuracy.

The gallery was built around actual Pelican Aerial project imagery — vineyard elevation maps, plant health overlays, construction aerials — instead of stock photography. That's the proof generic drone sites don't have. The enquiry flow was simplified to three steps: get in touch, discuss the project, receive a quote.

The result

The site now clearly communicates that Pelican Aerial operates across multiple industries simultaneously. Each section speaks directly to the decision-maker within that industry. The real project gallery builds the kind of credibility that stock photography never can, and their 25+ client / 150+ project credentials are surfaced upfront rather than buried in footnotes.

The challenge

Harry & Rosie started with a clear problem: there was no Australian baby brand that did it all well. Gentle skincare for newborns, OEKO-TEX certified muslin wraps, a digital tool for introducing first solids, and a meal planner that actually worked for the whole family — not just the toddler. The challenge wasn't the product vision. It was building four distinct digital products across two platforms that felt like one cohesive brand, with sustainable revenue from both physical and digital sales.

The Shopify store needed to sell physical products to Australian parents. The PWA — a toddler and family meal planner — needed to acquire subscribers at $7.99/month or $79.99/year, retain them through genuine recipe value, and keep improving month after month.

"Every product is designed in Australia, tested on real little ones, and built around what parents actually need — not what looks good on a shelf."

— Harry & Rosie Boutique Nursery, Australia

What we built

The Shopify store was built around a clear brand identity — warm, gentle, trust-led — with product pages written for Australian parents navigating baby products for the first time. Copy leads with ingredient safety, Australian provenance, and honest parent-to-parent language rather than clinical claims.

The meal planner PWA is the more complex build. It runs on Supabase with a full subscription tier (10-day free trial, then $7.99/month or $79.99/year), 450+ recipes across breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and treats, monthly rotating meal plans across a two-year library, allergen filters, mood-based recipe discovery, and a community challenges and badges system. The app ships new features continuously based on subscriber feedback.

We also built the First Solids Planner as a separate credit-based product — ASCIA-aligned allergen introduction for babies aged 4–6 months — and the Harry & Rosie Sleep Companion, a free downloadable guide used for lead generation and trust-building.

The result

Harry & Rosie now operates four distinct digital products under one cohesive brand. The meal planner subscription is live and converting, with ongoing feature development keeping subscribers engaged month after month. This is an active engagement — we continue to build new features, improve performance, and expand the recipe library as the brand grows.
